Chef and Sue is a cartoon strip which runs exclusively in the weekly 'Waitrose weekend' newspaper. The cat Sue is based on Fizzog, a lovely ginger cat who lives with Ann's friend Liz. Chef the dog, is based on Tilly, Ann's friend Ollie's dog. The two mice are called Edwards and Platt and are inspired by Ann's husband and his business partner. According to Ann: "Any resemblance to my friends and family and any offence caused is completely deliberate and serves you right for annoying me."
